In this program, the Shatibiya and Durra poem is explained in a simple and practical way, teaching the reciters’ and narrators’ rules. Students also practice how to recite according to the recitations and narrations. To enroll, a student must be fully conversant with the rules of Tajweed for a recitation (theoretically and practically). The student will undergo an evaluation and must score at least 90% in the memorization of the entire Quran without any clear mistakes.Course duration is 180 hours over 2 semesters. Payment is distributed over 2 semesters ($450 for each semester). Course DescriptionShatibiya and Durra consist of two sections: 1- Usul: The sustainable rules of the reciters. 2- Furush: The Quranic words which do not have a consensus in pronunciation. Shatibiya’s usul according to the seven reciters is taught and explained. The student then learns the same usul in Durra. The entire poem of Shatibiya and Durra is taught for those who did not study the recitations before. |
